The Johnston County Friends of the Library will host on February 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room a discussion of the award-winning book Wonder by R. J. Palacio. This widely acclaimed book has been made into a movie that is currently showing around the country. It is the story of a young boy born with severe birth defects who has been home-schooled learning to cope with starting the eighth-grade in a public school. The presenting scholar for this Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma program will be Dr. Bill Hagen. Copies of the book are available at the Johnston County Library. The discussion programs are free and open to the public. Refreshments are served. The programs are funded by Oklahoma Humanities through grants from the Inasmuch Foundation and the Kirkpatrick Family Fund.
