Clinton Wieden

News Director

Clinton Wieden serves as the News Director for KCCU. His duties include overseeing the station's local news coverage, reporting on stories of local interest, and hosting both the daily newscast The Texoma Report and the weekly public affairs program Community Focus.

A native of northwest Oklahoma, Clinton is an alumnus of Oklahoma State University, holding both a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism & Broadcasting (with a minor in Geography) and a Master of Science degree in Mass Communications. Prior to joining the KCCU team, Clinton worked at KRPS-FM in Pittsburg, Kansas, where he was a features producer and the local host for Morning Edition and All Things Considered. He has also worked as a public address announcer for Oklahoma State University Athletics. Professionally, he is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and the Radio Television Digital News Association.

Clinton has received multiple awards for his work as a journalist. He is proud to have been honored by the Oklahoma Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, the Oklahoma Associated Press Broadcasters, the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters, and the Radio Television Digital News Association.

In his free time, Clinton is a member of the CU/Lawton Community Band, CU/Lawton Community Jazz Ensemble, the Chisholm Trail Municipal Band in Duncan, and the Board of Directors of the Band Alumni Chapter of the OSU Alumni Association. He is interested in history, politics, sports, and pop culture, and enjoys reading a good book.
