Daughter of Dawn Premiere

The Daughter of Dawn is a silent film made in Oklahoma in the early 1900's. The film was lost for 80 years, but the Oklahoma Historical Society has restored the film. Mitch Watson reports the premiere attracted a large audience.

Reporter, All Things Considered Host, Host - Two Wheelin' Reporter

Mitch Watson began work at KCCU as a student worker in 2009 while studying Communications at Cameron University.  After two years interning, Mitch joined the staff as a reporter.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications in May 2012.  Mitch is now studying for a Masters Degree in Education.

Mitch originally hails from Garden City, KS where the wheat grows tall and the view stretches for miles and miles. After he earns his master’s degree, Mitch hopes to move closer to home to teach journalism.  Mitch has won several awards for his radio journalism, including state SPJ and AP awards and two regional Edward R. Murrow awards.
