$7.23 Million Grant Fuels Lawton Museum

Lawton, OK – Five Oklahoma museums will use a nearly 7.25 million dollar grant develop a project providing science-related educational exhibits across the state. The Oklahoma Museum Network is developing the program with the grant from the Las Vegas-based Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.

The network includes the Museum of the Great Plains in Lawton; Science Museum Oklahoma in Oklahoma City; Jasmine Moran Children's Museum in Seminole; Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse and Adventure Quest in Enid; and the Tulsa Air and Space Museum and Planetarium.

Science Museum board chairman Jim Farris says the plans include interactive exhibits at each museum plus a traveling museum with interactive exhibits that will go to rural areas.
