Oklahoma City, OK – President Bush will be in Oklahoma City next month to raise money for the Republican National Committee.
Bill Price, a co-chairman of Arizona Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign effort in Oklahoma, says some of the money raised will go to the Republican Party's presumptive presidential nominee in key battleground states.
Price says Bush's visit is set for September 12. The fund-raiser will be at a private residence in eastern Oklahoma City. It is a closed event.
Price says invitations are to be sent out this week. Tickets cost $1,000. Those attending can have their picture taken with the president for $5,000. Those who raise or give $25,000 or more will meet briefly with the president.
McCain, of Arizona, has not scheduled a trip to Oklahoma.
