Holiday Lighting Displays Need Money, Volunteers

Lawton, Ok. – In the middle of Gore Boulevard in Lawton between 3rd and 9th Streets, the lights are starting to go up with November 21 the annual holiday parade as the kickoff.
Volunteers are needed every Saturday morning to help with the work of stringing the lights and families as well as organizatins are welcome to help to decorate the Boulevard of Lights venue.
The public is invited to attend the Boulevard of Lights' Luncheon Fundraiser on Oct. 17, 11 a.m.--1 p.m. at the Outback in Lawton. For more information, call 353-BLVD.
And the Duncan Chamber of Commerce is still helping to recruit volunteers and raise money for the Lighting the Trail display efforts. Its first night of bright lights is set for November 22nd.
