Recently, while explaining HD radio to one of our listeners during a KCCU Community Meeting, it dawned on me that we have not done a very good job of publicizing the fact, you do not need a radio to listen to our HD2 schedule.
Now that KCCU programming is available on the World Wide Web and any multitude of smart phone or smart phone Apps, a radio is simply not necessary to enjoy HD2 (or KCCU.)
HD2 is available 24/7/365 by clicking "Listen Live" at the top of the webpage, or by reviewing the "What's Playing" section over on the right margin of our webpages. Then, depending on your platform, either click MP3 for Windows(r) or Android(r) or click iTunes(r) for Apple devices.
While KCCU does not have an official "App," you can tell your smartphone browser of choice to bookmark us on your screen. Usually, when you log into our mobile site for the first time you will be prompted to bookmark our site, and you can assign the bookmark to your screen at that time.
Also, if you live in the Lawton vicinity, the HD2 signal has been placed on our 102.9-FM translator.
So, if you are looking for HD2 programs such as The Diane Rehm Show or Fresh Air, just grab your smart phone or laptop and listening is only a click away.
KCCU is also available on various NPR Apps and Rhapsody(r) Internet Radio as well as numerous other Apps (that I simply can't keep track of.)
KCCU is also available on iTunes Radio (TM) and Nextradio(r).
