Roth Accused of Giving Campaign Cards at Office

Oklahoma City, OK – Oklahoma state Republicans say Democratic Corporation Commissioner Jim Roth has given out campaign materials at his state office.

State ethics rules forbid distributing campaign materials in a state building.

Roth spokesman Mike Fina says the incident was a mistake when a receptionist picked up the wrong stack of cards after a visitor asked for Roth's business card.

Roth faces Republican Dana Murphy in the Nov. 4 election.

The visitor was a state Republican party staff member who party Chairman Gary Jones says was sent to see what cards Roth was handing out at his state office.
