New NPR Program Offers Listeners Live, Updated News From Around the World, Nation and Here in Texoma
June 17, 2013 – Beginning on July 1, KCCU will broadcast Here & Now from 1 to 3 pm to meet growing audience demand for midday news and analysis. A live production from NPR and WBUR, Boston, in collaboration with public radio stations across the country, Here & Now reflects the fluid world of news as it’s happening, with timely, smart and in-depth news and conversation.
A ceremony held Tuesday saw Cameron University dedicate a new softball field and athletic center, the first completed project of Campus Master Plan 2025 and the final project of the presidency of Dr. Cindy Ross.
KCCU General Manger Doug Cole was arrested on charges of "Having a big heart," at 10 o'clock on the morning of June 6, 2013. He was subsequently booked into the notorious Outback Steakhouse slammer on Cache Road until he could post his $800 bail to the MDA.
In an release sent late Friday afternoon, Cameron University announced the selection of Dr. John McArthur as the institution's 17th president. He will take over effective July 1, replacing the retiring Dr. Cindy Ross.
McArthur has served as Cameron's provost since 2006, overseeing the academic areas of the university and working on major university initiatives. Prior to that appointment, he served as the dean of CU's School of Science and Technology.
